CEO Sarah Ellerby interviewed by SimpliFlying
Nova Pangaea Technologies’ CEO, Sarah Ellerby, speaks to Shashank Nigam, CEO of SimpliFlying, on their Sustainability in the Air podcast.
Key highlights of the podcast include an overview of NPT’s REFNOVA® technology, the approach to feedstock and outputs, and why waste-derived SAF matters to the future of aviation, Project Speedbird (commercial scale SAF facility in partnership with British Airways and LanzaJet), strategic partnerships within the industry, and the company’s future goals for scaling up production of 2G ethanol and the co-product, biochar.
Sarah Ellerby, NPT CEO, said:
“Thank you to Shashank for this wonderful opportunity to speak on the Sustainability in the Air podcast. It was an engaging and topical conversation of the here and now role of clean technology in a SAF industry gaining significant momentum.”
“I welcomed the chance to discuss NPT’s REFNOVA® technology and its unique offering to displace fossil-based products and deliver a solution to decarbonising aviation, and a pathway to net zero. REFNOVA® produces 2G ethanol and biochar from sustainable non-food derived waste biomass feedstocks with a high lignocellulosic content. The 2G ethanol enables SAF production through the AtJ process. The biochar has multiple applications, but its value lies in its immediate ability to sequester CO2 from the atmosphere, providing a net negative emissions end-to-end process. I hope the listeners enjoy this episode and get to know a bit more about NPT.”
